(please read response) Then he rose from the grave and conquered death. But remember, this messed up world is the one we created. He came to save us from ourselves. He's the only hope we have. One last thing, there is a hell, and no one gets away with anything. God is love and justice. If your father did not repent, he's paying for what he did to you right now. Now, I'll shut up and keep my religion to myself. My prayers go out to you, feralbigdog.

You' every right to be fired up. I'd be. Your father sounds like an evil sob. As for me I have severe panic disorder and OCD. I've had it for 13 plus years & have to take pills everyday just to be 'normal'. Never asked for it. But one thing I realized is that God knows about suffering. He came as a man, was called a bastard child, mocked, stripped naked and beaten, flogged - ripping the flesh from his bones, crucified, and died just so I would not have to go to hell for all the shit I did wrong.

this from someone laughing at the idea of abuse, if i could abuse him back as you put it, believe me i would, but he is dead(damn, i had thoughts of extreme ways to repay his cruelty, i guarantee he would regret ever being the way he was, but he got off easy)

For the year 2000+ perhaps Dido - White Flag would be in the vein of this. For the 90s? a little off the beaten track for you might be Sonique - It feels so good.Thinking back, 70s, Meatloaf - Paradise by the dashboard light.60s? Louis Armstrong - What a wonderful world.Of course each decade the sound changes somehow. The songs are still there. Perhaps more rare, perhaps the sound is a little alien to your ears. But one should not connote beauty with nostalgia. That is perhaps unfair. |
