Depends on how you look at it. Ross was writing old school heavy metal, while Karl is more towards a heavy/power metal hybrid. Which requires the music to be faster, less melodic and more simple. But Karl has all these small finesses. Try listen to the first riff of Dawn of Battle for example. To be honest... Karl is just building on the formula David Shankle created. Just more towards heavy metal. And harder, more epic.

Valid point brother ..while i agree Karl gives you more solo variety his rhythm writing and playing is far more simple than Ross..just think Ross is a better fit for Manowar. All this really doesnt matter because manowar rules FOREVER.

That's where i disagree. I see Ross as a rather simplefied guitarist. He was using the same patterns over and over again. Where Karl Logan has way more variety in his solo's.

Karl Logan is a technically excellent guitarist..BUT he will never have the feeling and power of Ross..Dave needs to retire
